Why Is Independent Important?
"Independent" means that our mortgage advisers offer advice using mortgage products that are from the "whole of the uk market". Mortgage intermediaries who are independent, also offer the option of paying a fee in return for their services, with any commission earned from the product provider being refunded to you or offset against the fee charged.
Many Estate Agents and advisers offering mortgage advice work from predominately a "panel of lenders" that is deemed to represent the whole market and they rarely deviate from them.

So if you want to compare, say, Abbey's latest mortgage deal with other offers from, say, Nationwide or Halifax, we are able to do this so you really do get the pick of the best deals currently available, many not available on the high street, from the whole of the UK market!
Although some Mortgage advisers will call themselves Independent, this does not mean that they are also Independent for the mortgage related products such as Life Assurance or Mortgage Protection Plans and are often tied to one lender, this is also generally true of when you arrange your mortgage direct with a lender.
You should always ask if they select products from the market place as this could be a costly mistake...
