We will take a few basic details from you and allocate one of our mortgage advisers to help you. We are able to arrange a mortgage for you following either a face to face meeting, post, phone or emails...Whatever works for you...
If you have arranged a meeting by phone or at our offices, we will write to you confirming your appointment and send a confirmation text or email on the day of your meeting as a reminder of appointment time.
Face-to-face meeting with your adviser at our office.
When you arrive to meet your adviser you will be greeted by a receptionist and offered something to drink whilst you wait in our reception room for your adviser.
The meeting will usually take between 40 minutes and one hour and will begin with an explanation of how Nexus can help you, how as Independent Financial Advisers, we are different from other brokers and lenders, and what rights you
have as a customer. We will ask for more detailed information with regards to your residency, financial situation and credit history to allow us to determine the best lender and products for you personally. In addition, we will discuss what kind of property you are looking to buy and both your current and future financial expectations. This will help your adviser to ensure the advice they give is specifically designed around your own needs and aspirations.
Your adviser will encourage you to ask questions as we work on your behalf and want to ensure that we fully understand your mortgage requirements. They will also discuss the various mortgage types, interest rates, the mortgage process and the additional costs of buying a home such as solicitors fees and charges to ensure there are no surprises as you proceed through your application. Our aim is to ensure that our whole process is simple and explained in a straight forward manor.
Following your initial meeting.
Following on from the initial meeting, you Adviser will then research the entire mortgage market (over 40,000 products) for you and using the information from the initial meeting will recommend mortgage products that are most suitable for your individual circumstances.
Your adviser, with your permission will then arrange a mortgage agreement in principle (AIP) based on the information supplied, provide information as to costs and provide solicitors/conveyancing quotations giving you the peace of mind and confidence, in the case of a purchase to look for a property.
Our dedicated administrative team will oversee all the paperwork and will act as source of contact, should your adviser be unavailable, answering any questions that you may have and assisting your adviser in obtaining your mortgage offer in the shortest time possible. It should be noted that our administration team cannot give mortgage advice, should this be required you will be referred to an FSA authorised adviser to answer any question you may have.
Mortgage Offer.
When you have agreed on a mortgage we will process your application, we will also advise you if any additional information that is required to process your application.
